Privacy Policy
This page explains what data VAT Calculator Ireland (https://www.vatcalculator.irish/) collects, what happens to it, and the choices you have. The short version: your calculations stay in your browser, and we collect very little.

Every figure you type into any calculator on this site is processed by JavaScript inside your own browser. The amounts, rates, invoice lines and results never leave your device, are never sent to our server, and are never stored anywhere by us. Close the tab and they are gone. This applies to the main VAT calculator, the reverse VAT calculator and every other tool on the site.
What we do collect
Server logs
Like almost every website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs: the IP address of a request, the page requested, the date and time, and the browser type. We use these only to keep the site running and to spot abuse. They are not linked to any account, because this site has no accounts.
Analytics
We may use analytics tools to see which pages people visit and how they found the site, in aggregate. Numbers like "how many people used the calculator this week" help us decide which guides to write next. We do not use analytics to identify individual visitors.
If you write to us through the address on our contact page, we receive your email address and your message. We use them only to reply, keep them only as long as the conversation needs, and never add you to a mailing list or pass your address to anyone else.
Cookies and advertising
The calculators themselves work without cookies. However, this site may display third-party advertisements, including Google AdSense, to keep the tools free. Advertising partners such as Google use cookies to serve ads, and may serve them based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google in your Google Ads Settings, and manage or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Blocking cookies does not affect the calculators in any way.
Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the EU or EEA, the General Data Protection Regulation gives you the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data we hold about you, and the right to complain to a supervisory authority, which in Ireland is the Data Protection Commission. In practice, the only personal data we are likely to hold is an email you sent us. To exercise any of these rights, email us at appdevelopersofficiall@gmail.com and we will act on it.
Links to other sites
Our guides link to external sites, most often the Revenue Commissioners and the European Commission. Those sites have their own privacy policies which we do not control, so once you leave vatcalculator.irish, this policy no longer applies. Where the accuracy of information on external sites matters, our disclaimer covers the limits of what we can promise.
Children
This site is a tax tool aimed at adults running businesses or checking receipts. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, and the site has no features designed for them.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update this page and the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means the current version applies. If a change ever materially affects what we collect, we will make that obvious here rather than bury it.
